Our number one aim… to look after our customers better than anybody else

It all begins with our personal relationships with the cheesemakers. Working very closely together allows us to source and select the best quality.

As soon as the cheese is in our care, we continue the ageing process in our own maturing rooms, by skilfully controlling temperature and humidity to develop and enhance the unique and complex array of flavours, textures and aromas.

As you would expect, this meticulous approach ensures that our cheeses reach you aged to perfection and in peak condition.

Many of our products are locally sourced from small independent producers in the Cambridge Region.

By supporting local suppliers, we are able to ensure food miles are minimised and local producers and their employees can benefit from our mutual relationship.

Wherever we can we buy British, helping to promote the quality of British food and offering valued support to British producers and farmers.

We make ordering very easy. Over the phone, or online, your personal cheesemonger will manage your order from start to finish;

keeping you informed, letting you know what’s aged to perfection and assisting you with your selection.

From beginning to end, we are here to help with a quick response or call back, alternatively you can go online to view what’s in stock, your quick order template, order history and the tasting notes for all our cheeses.

Once you place your order, it will be hand selected, carefully packed and delivered to you in excellent condition.

We send our cheese anywhere in the UK.

Our delivery service is flexible, simple and transparent. Deliveries within our catchment area are free and will arrive next day in one of our own liveried vehicles. Your order will be hand delivered and checked by one of our friendly and smartly dressed team.

For our customers outside of our catchment area, we offer free delivery on all orders over £100. Your order will arrive in one of our own purposely designed chill boxes which are made to provide maximum protection and ensure your order arrives in perfect condition.

We track all our orders so we can keep you updated as to when your order will arrive.

The Academy has been set-up to promote cheese knowledge and provide career development, both within the industry and amongst the wider public.

It culminates in the highly qualified and industry accredited role of Master of Cheese. The programme will build knowledge and skills from cheesemaking through affinage to selling to consumers – in both retail and food service environments.

Our objective is to promote cheese quality, provenance and range to a wide audience of enthusiasts, cheesemongers, producers and chefs; both in the UK and overseas. By acknowledging those who have undertaken the courses – from Level One through to Level Four’s Master of Cheese

– we aim to ensure greater respect and recognition for the valuable contribution that cheese makes to our lives – culturally, socially and economically.

In 2018 Cheese+ aim to become a training centre for The Academy of Cheese

Our two cheeses are handmade using the fresh morning milk from Holstein, Friesian and Red Poll Cows. During the summer, the cows graze freely on clover rich pastures and in the winter dine-in on red clover haylage.

This home produced forage, together with the highest standards of cow welfare, produces top quality, award winning milk which is rich in butterfat and when used unpasteurised optimises the unique flavours of the cheeses.

‘The Duke’ is an exquisite cultured blue with complex flavours which develops a soft blue natural rind and a golden interior with dashes of royal blue. The Duke is creamy, sweet and salty, with a delicious peppery finish.

‘The Duchess’ cheese is a firm and supple alpine style cheese, bathed in English Sparkling Rosé from Chilford Hall in Cambridge to create a cheese full of buttery flavours with an elegant curtsy of sweet notes.
